Say what you will about the NBA, but this much is true: it is a league of second chances.
In Bonzi Wells’ case, he might fit in the third or fourth chance category.
By now you know Wells’ story. By now you’ve probably heard that the former shooting guard with the Portland Trail Blazers, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets, New Orleans Hornets – and stints in China and Puerto Rico – is back for one last go around in the NBA, this time in training camp with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Is this the new Bonzi?

Mickael Pietrus career with the Toronto Raptors isn't going to happen afterall.
Paul Coro with the Arizona Republic detailed the story here with the proposed deal that would have sent Pietrus to Toronto in exchange for a second round pick from the Raptors called off after it was learned Pietrus failed his physical.
Another league source said Pietrus didn't fail his physical, but some in Toronto's organization were concerned with swelling in the forward's right knee after surgery back in July.
For now, Pietrus is still a member of the Phoenix Suns.

"I really haven't (seen Ricky Rubio). I know one thing: He can really pass the ball. He has great instincts. He sees things. My job is to figure out his best strengths and get him some success early so he has some confidence. That's true of all these guys." - Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Rick Adelman on Ricky Rubio

Hey World -- I’m back again for Round 2…
First, I thought I’d catch you guys up on what’s happened hoops-wise since my last installment.
We’ve had a little bit of a tough stretch, losing our last two games. The first was against Burgos where we were up by 10 points heading in to the half at their place (which is considered one of the toughest environments in the whole league) but ended up losing by twelve points after we struggled to get stops in the 4th quarter. The second loss was at home against Menorca, a team that played in the ACB League last year and is in contention to be promoted back up this year. It was one of those ugly, grind-it-out type games that we end up losing by three points despite turning them over 25 times. Defensively, it was one of our best games all year, but we just weren’t able to make the big buckets we needed down the stretch.
It sucked. Big time. no comments
