Game Day Update:

Here are the facts heading into Oregon versus Tennessee: The Vols have lost three consecutive games to Pac-10 teams - leaving some to wonder if this game should have really been arranged - including one to maybe the worst team in UCLA history. Another fact: the Ducks are more talented and more experienced.

Ducks and Vols round out a stacked Saturday in college football. Is a UT upset over Oregon in the works?

If so, credit the grilled duck quesadillas being served up in Knoxville.

Go inside the Ducks/Vols game day breakdown, with UT receiver Gerald Jones still sidelined with a broken hand and out for Saturday against Oregon.

Last Saturday, Oregon’s Cliff Harris tied a Pac-10 Conference record with two punt returns for touchdowns against New Mexico, part of which earned him conference Player of the Week honors on special teams. Now Harris and the Ducks’ special teams looks to go for broke in Tennessee.

Not to look past the Vols here, but could this be Oregon’s year? The Ducks have posted 15 winning records over the past 16 seasons and five times this decade, they had seasons with double-digit victory totals.

The game plan against Tennessee is no secret: stop the run. If the Vols plan on upsetting the reigning Pac-10 Champions, their offense must rely on the running back duo of Tauren Poole and David Oku to consistently move the ball and get first downs.

Meet the man who has Oregon’s number: former Duck, Nick Wilcox, turned Vols defensive coordinator, by way of Boise State.

Get to know the name Prentiss Waggner before Saturday rolls around. The Vols’ defensive back is already garnishing superhero status down in Tennessee – certainly thanks to his interception and 54-yard return for a touchdown to go along with a team-high six tackles against UT Martin.
