Rudy Fernandez wants out of Portland, and he may soon get his wish.

According to Julian Benbow of the Boston Globe, the Boston Celtics still have a void to fill in their backcourt and the Celtics could be regaining interest in the disgruntled Blazers shooting guard - a "Rudy-to-Boston" scenerio which has been debated around Portland for some time now.

Boston lost Tony Allen in free-agency to Memphis for 3-years and $9.5 million. Rudy's $1.25 million salary is appealing and the Celtics also like his ability to play outside with both Shaquille O'Neal and Jermaine O'Neal roaming the middle. Boston, Chicago, and New York have been in the mix for Fernandez over the past few months, but now it appears the Celtics are still interested in talking business with the Blazers for Rudy.

Eric King will have more on this story in Thursday's edition of Around Oregon Sports.
