Austin Rivers will be the man come Friday at the Nike Global Challange, but by the end of the three-day event the real story could be Wayne Blackshear.

The 6-foot-5 guard out of Chicago - who has also participated in events by adidas - has been committed to Louisville for a minute now. So what does he really have to gain by making the trip to Oregon?

A chance to play some basketball against the best in the world.

Right now, Wayne is making a name for himself in these brand controlled showcases, before eventually going to play for Rick Pitino. Even Blackshear has to know that in order to be the man, you have to beat the man.

Cue Austin Rivers.

The scouting report on Blackshear: smooth with the ball in his hands; a guy who can create and also keep his teammates involved. Forget quick. He's already blown by that.

His sheer size and speed show you why.

Blackshear has performed nicely at both the LeBron James' Skills Academy and the Nike Peach Jam (where the 24 best travel teams in the country - Wayne played for the 11-3 Mac Irvin Fire) and is looking to go three-for-three in Hillsboro.

The Nike Global Challenge is up next.

Blackshear could be too by Sunday.
